OnePrint prints custom brown kraft labels in roll or sheet format, as part of our custom label printing work, and reviews the artwork, adhesive and finishing against your container and the environment it will be used in.
Final stock is confirmed against your artwork and the surface the label goes on. Recycled-content options are available and depend on the material spec you select.
Brown paper is dark and porous, so translucent inks can absorb into the fibers and look muddy, and white text can appear gray. We use an opaque white underprint beneath colored graphics – or print white directly – to isolate the ink from the brown base so logos and text stay clean and consistent. Color is reviewed on a proof before the run.
Paper face stock is stiffer than film, so edges can tend to lift on tight, small-radius curves such as dropper bottles and round jars. We select permanent acrylic adhesives with strong initial grab to help the label sit flat on curved glass, plastic and metal, and to bond to rough surfaces like corrugated board and kraft bags. Adhesion and machine feed are confirmed with a sample on your actual container. Rolls are supplied on standard cores with controlled liner release for smooth feeding. Unprotected paper can scuff and mark during transport and handling. A thin matte varnish can seal the ink and fibers against light scuffs and minor spills while keeping the natural, glare-free matte texture. A kraft paper label is not waterproof like a film label; the matte protective finish is intended to help with everyday handling, light moisture and fingerprints, and suitability is confirmed against your use.
How do you keep colors and white text from looking dull on brown kraft?
An opaque white underprint beneath colored graphics helps the colors and white text read clearly against the brown base; the result is reviewed on a proof.
Will kraft labels lift off round jars and bottles?
Paper is stiffer than film and can edge-lift on curves. We pair kraft with permanent acrylic adhesives selected for curved surfaces, and we recommend a sample test on your container.
Are brown kraft labels waterproof?
Kraft paper is not waterproof like film. A matte protective finish helps with everyday handling and light moisture; suitability is confirmed against your product and use.
Can we combine several designs in one order?

We apply white underprints for custom clear labels and silver foil labels on rolls. We just ask that you supply a vector file to assist with production. At this time, clear sheeted materials are printed without a white underlay.
